The Rolling Stones are back in Europe!
The legendary English Rock band, started in 1962 by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, is going back on tour in 2017. The ‘No Filter’ Tour consists of thirteen shows in twelve different venues across Europe.
The stadium concerts, which will be held in September and October, follow The Rolling Stone’s latest tour of South America, aptly named América Latina Olé Tour 2016, which culminated in Havana, Cuba. The historical concert was recorded and released on CD, Vinyl and DVD under the title The Rolling Stones: Havana Moon.
As a result of this tour, the Rolling Stones have also produced a critically acclaimed documentary film Olé Olé Olé! A Trip Across Latin America, directed by Paul Dugdale. This film has just been released on DVD internationally by Eagle Rock.

The band promises to treat their fans to a set list packed full of their countless classics such as “Gimme Shelter”, “Paint It Black”, “Jumpin Jack Flash”, “Tumbling Dice” and “Brown Sugar”, but they also promise to keep the fans guessing with a couple of unexpected tracks each night, and randomly selected surprises from their formidable arsenal of songs. For all of the shows of the tour, the Stones will be unveiling new productions and state of the art stage design.
The European tour starts on Saturday, September 9 at the Stadtpark in Hamburg. The Stadtpark is a city park that hasn’t been used for a major live music concert since 1989. The Stones then head for the Olympic Stadium in Munich on September 12.
The tour continues on September 16 in Spielberg, Austria at the Spielberg Red Bull Ring. The Red Bull Ring is a motorsport circuit that hosted Formula one races for 17 years. On September 20, the Rolling Stones will be in Zurich, Switzerland, at the Letzigrund Stadium.
One of the most exciting locations of the tour will be held on September 23 in Lucca, Italy. The City Wall of Lucca is a major historical site in the Tuscany region of Italy. The beautiful medieval city, which recently celebrated its 500th anniversary, has never been used before for a major live music event.
Mick Jagger’s band will be playing at the Olympic Stadium in the beautiful city of Barcelona on September 27.
In Holland, on September 30, The Rolling Stones will play the first closed-roof concert of the tour at the Amsterdam Arena, which is Holland’s largest stadium and home to AJAX Football Club.
In October the band will play a series of closed-roof concerts. On October 3rd they will play at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark. On October 9, the tour heads to Stockholm, Sweden, for a concert at the Friends Arena and on October 15, the Stones will be back in Holland to play in Arnhem at the Gelre Dome.
The last chance to see Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts on this tour will arrive on October 19 and 22, when the English foursome will play at the brand-new U Arena, in Paris. The venue is home to Paris’ Racing 92 Rugby Club and The Stones – No Filter will be the very first show at the newly built arena.
The Stones – No Filter European tour follows the release of the band’s 23rd studio album, Blue and Lonesome, a return to their blues roots. The 12 song album was recorded in three days and not surprisingly, topped the charts in fifteen countries.
