Fans and festival volunteers finally got a break from the rain on day two of Pitchfork Music Festival 2022. It was cloudy, but a nice cool breeze swept the festival all day, and there were no more make-shift rain gear or soggy feet.
The festival kicked off with the smooth jazz sounds of Jeff Parker & The New Band, followed by an explosive performance from CupcakKe. The crowd size was noticeably larger on a day without rain, making all three stages’ energy noticeably greater.
The lineup for day two included the likes of Mitski, Japanese Breakfast, Lucy Dacus, Low, Magdalena Bay, Dry Cleaning, Karate, Iceage, yeule, The Armed, The Linda Lindas, Hyd, as well as Jeff Parker & The New Breed, and CupcakKe, as previously mentioned.
The crowd left happy and dry, and was ready to take on the final day of the festival, after a fantastic close-out performance by Mitski, who was not photographed due to the artist’s request.
