Azealia Banks – “Wallace”:
Azealia Banks has released an interactive video for her single “Wallace”. The video directed by Nick Ace and Rob Soucy, the frames in the video are driven purely by the viewers web cam movements, thus the occasional sway from side to side will get you places. The video which is created by google, as many of you may have guessed, is only viewable on Banks’ official site via Google Chrome browsers. Laura Marling – “Strange”:
Laura Marling has released new song “Strange” from her forthcoming album Short Movie. The track is the fourth song to be taken from the album and follows after previous tracks “I Feel Your Love”, “False Hope“, and “Short Movie”. Listen to “Strange” below, Laura’s album Short Movie is set for release on the 23rd of March and recently announced that she will be touring the UK over April and May.
Bellevue Days – “Capability, Capacity”:
Croydon based alternative 4 piece Bellevue Days have release their first single from their upcoming EP. The single, entitled “Capability, Capacity”, has a huge sound, building from a mellow atmospheric guitar intro, to a brutal chorus, along with some lovely vocal harmonies. The video for “Capability Capacity” is to be aired on Kerrang’s ‘Fresh Blood’ show today, it has an eerily simple concept, charting a transformation from man to pig. This latest offering from Bellevue Days is an excellent track, definitely worth checking out! BOTH – “The Longest Of Goodbyes”:
On the back of their debut single “Straight Outta Line”, Belgian/French duo BOTH return with an even bigger dance anthem titled “The Longest of Goodbyes”. Their debut single was a radio smash across Europe, setting the blogosphere alight and in the process racking up 1 million Youtube views and over 2.5 million Spotify streams, and this second offering is another excellent dancefloor filler and a glorious mix of enthralling club beats and captivating vocals, inspired by legends Roger Sanchez and Eric Morillo. To explain the simple inspiration behind the track, BOTH explains, “there is no need to say goodbye when all you need is around you”.
Tame Impala – “Let It Happen”:
It’s time to go on another mind-bending trip with one of Australia’s finest, psych-kings Tame Impala. They’ve released a taster – or sizeable chunk considering the track’s 8 minutes long – of what we can expect from their follow-up album to the quite brilliant and gloriously spacey Lonerism, released way back in 2012. “Let It Happen” is a delicious epic with relentless chugging drums and busy synths at its core from which Kevin Parker’s windy vocals stretch their wings out into a warped world. He’s “heard about a whirlwind that’s coming round“, he must be talking of the new album.
Ben Khan – “1000”:
Wow, imagine the most sporadic sensual sublimities to ever grace your ears and you have the insurgence of Ben Khan, the British artist and producer is back and has upped his smooth to 1000! Earlier this wee, Khan released his new single “1000”, the titled track from his forthcoming four-track EP out in May, and boy is it an infusion of rapturous rhythmical reveries! This 22 year old means business and is delivering his most sensual seductions to entice and enthral. Take a listen here for yourself, my track of the moment!
Kendrick Lamar – “King Kunta”:
In anticipation of his follow up to 2012’s Good Kid, MAAD City, Kendrick Lamar has shared another track off his forthcoming album To Pimp A Butterfly. Following the previously shared singles “i” and “The Blacker The Berry”, “King Kunta” is the latest track to be gifted by the Californian rapper. With Grammy wins already under his belt, his track “i” claiming ‘Best Rap Performance’ and ‘Best Rap Song’ earlier this year, 2015 is already looking like a successful, promising year for the rapper.
