I am queer creative write, and student activist, currently a student at the University of the Western Cape (South Africa) at the faculty of arts and humanities, majoring in Philosophy, Gender Studies and Political Studies. I was recognized by the Mail & Guardian Top 200 Young South Africans as one of the most influential young people in the country in 2020, in the civil society category. I have a strong scholarly inclination and have some of my works published, both in creative writing and contribution to feminist and activist discourse. Towards the end of 2020 into the beginning of 2021 I worked with Tshisimani Centre for Activist Education based in Cape Town to produce the isiXhosa translation of the Pocket Queerpedia, a glossary of terms used in and about the LGBTQIA+ community. My latest contribution was to an Afro-futuristic anthology, Our Move Next, that explores magical realism with a mix of African fantasy to be published in the coming months. I consider myself to be a lightworker and a person whose written and spoken word can offer healing and inspire hope to marginalised voices.
