I’m not sure why House music has had the effect it has with the world, but incredible UK songstress MOKO is a true testament to the way in which, as a genre, it can be shook up and made in to something truly magic. And now smashing its way through and onto our summer play lists is her new single titled “With You”. There is no shock as to why this track is as triumphant as it is, since it was produced by Two Inch Punch (the producer that pretty much helped Sam Smith get to the levels he is now), and combined with the captivating and highly eclectic sound and vocal ability that MOKO brings, the finished product is nothing short of perfection.
“With You” is the follow on track from Moko’s previously released “Your Love” and both are taken from this beautiful young lady’s forthcoming EP Gold, which is her most intricate piece of work to date. Gold brings forward a more sophisticated and distinct sound than we are used to hearing, whilst still remaining true to the unique blend of 90’s Soul, R&B & House tinged emotive Pop that garnered Moko’s previous EP Black so much love and why it was so highly acclaimed in late 2013.
All that combined with an upgraded sound, beautiful vocals, compelling songwriting and of course those plaits alone, it appears MOKO is definitely not one to take a step back, instead she has taken huge gallops forward and this latest track is the latest proof of this British talent’s undeniable stature. “With You” is a fun and funky jam that is over flowing with bass, veteran standard vocals, and explodes with energy, all of which is sure to catapult itself straight onto every DJs decks, and MOKO further into the spotlight.
