With the desire to truly reinvent himself and his sound, Dutch singer Haris has really come a long way and he is certainly not letting up with the release of his latest single “Come Over“, the leading single of his upcoming project Trouble I Want To Get Into.
“Come Over” is a dark, synth-laced pop heater that’s as suggestive as you’d think from a young star that’s seen the limelight’s sins. Sensual and sleek, the slowly-winding production underlines a gorgeous vocal that finesses the raw sexuality inherent in the emerging star’s lyrics.
Having won X Factor in the Netherlands and signing to Sony whilst still in his teens, Haris grew up, rejected that life, got a regular job and taught himself to produce in the evenings. With this new look Haris slowly shaping up to be force to be reckoned with, we can only be grateful he opted for a more ‘organic’ approach to music.

2 Chainz + YG + Offset – “Proud”
Salute to all the mothers! Off the back of his latest EP The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It, 2 Chainz brings to life his YG and Offset from the Migos collaboration with the latest video to drop for their joint titled “Proud“. It’s definitely a must see video today.
2 Chainz takes on the director’s chair alongside Howard Ross and the rapper trio enlists the help of three special ladies…their moms. They definitely steal the show with this one. Each mom performs her son’s bars, while looking like the female spitting image of them as they come dressed like their famous offspring, even replicating their mannerisms as they are cast in various different neighbourhoods.
Throughout, people hold up signs with the song’s lyrics, like “My Momma Ain’t Raise No Ho” and “I’m Just Tryna Make My Momma Proud.” Isn’t that basically what we are all trying to do?
2 Chainz posted on Instagram earlier this month in regards to the video shoot, calling it “amazing.” “I wish my pops was here, but I know he was looking down,” the rapper wrote, accompanying a picture of him and his mother. He added, “It is the most genuine smile I have had all year.” Watch them make their mamas “Proud” below.
SLANG – “Dancer”
Intricately fusing an archetypically British sound, rap flows and a pop twist, SLANG finally unveiled his latest endeavour to the world in the form of his latest single “Dancer“. Premiering exclusively on Complex, this will serve as the lead single taken from his recently released 4 track EP Terms and Conditions
A prominent, cheery, percussion led beat fuses with a cheeky delivery and lyrical scamper as SLANG narrates a night out with his focus being fixed on a fine young lady that has the world on a string. It being quintessentially British is what makes it so great; from the diction to the content even to the production.
As an artist, SLANG has developed and nurtured his own unique style through the influence of the talent he has worked closely with over the years. Beginning amidst the initial wave of Grime, his career involved the transition from the underground scene into the mainstream having worked with major names like Wiley, Marina and The Diamonds, Charli XCX, Mario and WSTRN
This insight and inspiration has become an intrinsic cog to his sound and “Dancer” is a pure reflection of this. You can receive the full SLANG experience through listening to “Dancer” as well as his latest EP below

Irini Mando – “Six In The Morning”
Working hard on her music for the last year, independent singer-songwriter Irini Mando is ready to reconnect with her growing fan base, sharing her brand-new single “Six In The Morning” – her first release in a year.
Written by Irini, the track brings together an impressive line-up. It was produced by Buzzin Productions (Kojo Funds, Elephant Man, Skepta) and mixed and mastered by Arthur Indrikovs (Calvin Harris, Clean Bandit, Florence + the Machine). The result of such a collaboration is a vibey pop jam with sprinkles of afro-bashment and an undeniable hook.
“That’s what’s been gwarning ‘til six in the morning”, Irini can be heard singing as she recounts the details of a memorable night.
Speaking on the track, Irini says, “‘Six In The Morning’ is just a vibe to be honest. Buzzin and I became friends when he exec produced my last EP Eden in 2016 but this is our first truly collaborative effort, and it happened so naturally. I just remember finishing it before we even spent too much time thinking about it, which is something I definitely want to explore more.”
Having worked with the Amy Winehouse Foundation previously, delivering the single “Hang” off the Foundation’s first compilation album in 2015 to releasing the EP Eden, which spawned the VEVO-championed singles “Tide” and “Surfin’ Sky High” in 2016. Irina has not been slacking. Her silence has been to her benefit and now she comes back better than ever. Follow her journey on Twitter and Facebook.
Yung Fume + JME – “Never Had”
Rising Croydon MC Yung Fume‘s incredible momentum continues with the release of “Never Had” featuring legendary UK rapper JME. It’s been produced by Atlanta super producer Zaytoven who’s been responsible for a long list of bangers from the likes of Gucci Mane & Future; this one is no exception.
The video is directed by J.Mornix and it depicts Fume and JME, alongside younger versions of themselves, walking through abstract aisles stocked with a plethora of expensive goods, all of the things they ‘never had’. But it’s not necessarily about the bragging. For Fume it’s also a milestone moment and a celebration of how far he’s come – not to mention JME.
There’s a lot for Yung Fume to be celebrating. His steady graft has made him the first UK artist to sign to iconic US Hip-Hop label Payday Records. “Never Had” is the lead track off of Yung Fume’s upcoming debut EP Level Up with the label due for release March 30. If this proves anything, it is definitely that hard work pays off and he can now enjoy those things he never had.
