Rapidly rising alt Pop singer, songwriter and producer Shakka is back with a brand new and highly impressive single titled “When Will I See You Again”, which is set for release on the 5th of October on iTunes. You are probably already aware of Shakka’s undeniable talent as 2013 was a rather successful year for the West Londoner, as he achieved an array of recognition and support for his music, collaborations and live performances.
If you are unaware of what I am talking about then let me just fill you in on some Shakka trivia – he was nominated for two MOBO Awards – including Best Newcomer & Best Song, he made it to MTV’s Top 20 Unsigned list, toured with Basement Jaxx and Rudimental, and of course he famously featured on Wretch 32’s “Blackout”, which reached number 6 in the charts!
If you think that was a good start for Shakka, then 2014 is proving to be bigger and better then ever, having recently released a clever B-side remix to MNEK’s latest single “Wrote A Song About You”, to great success, reaching over 40,000 SoundCloud plays, and then to garner even more hype and recognition, the singing/songwriting/producing genuis MNEK even created a fresh remix of the B-side just adding to the hype of the release.
Anyway now that you are all clued up on Shakka, lets get down to business and talk about this extremely stunning, fresh new single “When Will I see You Again”, which dare I say it comes with one of the most beautiful, mind blowing falsettos I have ever heard. His vocals are utterly captivating, smooth and sexy that will leave you in awe, and complete admiration, the song also has a dreamy atmosphere leaving you entranced and hooked onto every word.
Shakka is known for his unique skill of infusing reggae-ska influences to his outstanding production, and his singer-songwriter abilities, that are nothing short of perfection, and his new single is not only a true testament to this, but it comes overflowing with even more flow – the double up of flow was needed there just to accentuate Shakka’s FLOW. “When Will I See You Again” promises to take Shakka to new levels as it truly highlights his skill and uniqueness, as well quite simply just being a great tune, certain to drag everyone to the dance floor, and its safe to say I’m sure we will be seeing Shakka again very soon!
