The Bass Music Awards 2015 return to Ministry of Sound on November 12 – a celebration of the artists, labels, tracks and venues that make the Bass music scene the melting pot it is, and as ever, voting is thrown out to you ravers and skankers so you can have your say on who’s best in show. Whether it’s your favourite DJs, forward thinking producers or the places you love to go and hear House on the weekend, the 2015 Bass Music Awards represents your chance to speak up.
Previous award winners include the likes of The Prodigy, Disclosure, Chase and Status, Annie Mac, Sigma, Rudimental, Goldie and Roni Size, it’s fair to say the big hitters are well represented. London’s famous Ministry of Sound will once again host the event, having been voted ‘World’s Best Soundsystem’ four years in a row, they are guaranteed to showcase all the sounds and styles, effortlessly across four rooms, over two floors complete with VIP bars and heated courtyard this definitely set to be a night you don’t want to miss.
Last year’s ‘Best Label’ winners Never Say Die return to host a stage featuring Zomboy, Virus Syndicate, The Freestylers and Bar 9 while over in The Box, ravers can look forward to seeing the two time UK beatbox champion Reeps One along with Modestep (DJ Set), Stanton Warriors, Drumsound and Bassline Smith, Youngman, The Qemists and Harry Shotta. Genre spanning heavyweights The Dub Pistols will also be on the ones and two’s performing a DJ set and if you can’t wait to hear hear them drop their latest track “Sound Killa”, you can get yourself in the mood with a preview above.
Not to be sniffed at, Rompa’s Reggae Shack will be on hand to deliver your high tempo hits for the night with The Ragga Twins, Benny Page, Nicky Blackmarket Deekline and Daddy Nature all on the line up. Drum ‘n’ Bass favourite Jenna G (Jenna & the G’s) also recorded an exclusive performance with a mix and blend of those Digital Soundboy classics set to live brass and percussion certain to be the perfect warm up for the upcoming awards show, you can take a look at the video here.

2015’s Bass Music Awards Representatives are Birmingham’s own Hannah Wants, fresh from her newly appointed Radio 1 residency, bi-monthly mixtape series and music productions, Alex & Stef of Tough Love, who have been enjoying huge love for their takes on 90’s R&B slow jams like “So Freakin Tight” and the Ginuwine classic “Pony”, Coco Cole, Capital Xtra’s newest Electro music missionary, Drum ‘n’ Bass stalwart Friction, who entered the D&B Hall Of Fame in 2011 and is known across the continent for his masterful mixes and performances, and Bournemouth’s own Funtcase, who will be bringing the Dubstep sound.
