WPGM Reviews: Conan Gray Live At OVO Arena Wembley

From a teenage YouTuber to commanding the stage at OVO Arena Wembley with the walk and confidence of an experienced pop-star, Conan Gray’s journey has been nothing but extraordinary.

In just a few short years, he has risen from the world of TikTok videos to become one of pop’s most loved and relatable voices. His concert at Wembley Arena felt like a perfect visual representation of that journey, blending past and present into a mesmerizing experience that could be perhaps described as a time capsule of memories.

Every aspect of the show, from the sparkling outfits to the electric energy of the crowd, was living proof of how far Conan has come, and how deeply he connects with his fans. The atmosphere was brilliant as the arena came alive with vibrant, shimmering colors.

Conan’s iconic outfits, glittering and radiant, reminiscent of 80’s pop starts, set the tone for the night. Fans, too, matched his energy, showing up at the venue coordinated colors, their hair and accessories glistening with stars, creating a sea of light in the arena. It was as if the entire venue had been transformed into a living scrapbook of Conan’s personal style and evolution.

From his early YouTube days to commanding such an iconic stage, every fan in that room felt a part of “The story”.
Throughout the night, Conan’s signature ironic style remained ever-present. His charm lies in his authenticity—he’s the same relatable figure he was when he first started, yet his confidence has grown exponentially.

Whether it’s his laid-back manner of addressing the crowd with his trademark “y’all” or his ability to connect with fans through simple but meaningful storytelling, Conan conveys a warmth that makes every show feel intimate, even in a venue as large as the OVO arena. Between songs, he weaves in anecdotes that not only give depth to his music but also gives a window into his personal journey.

The crowd, eager to be a part of the experience, held up signs hoping to catch Conan’s attention. Some read messages like “I found heaven with you,” a reference to the tour’s name, I Found Heaven On Tour. It was heartwarming to see that, despite the digital age shifting so much of how we connect, the tradition of concert signs had not been forgotten.

In fact, it felt like a resurgence of the culture, with fans adorning their signs with glitter, hand-cut hearts, and star-shaped stickers. Each sign was not just a piece of memorabilia; it was an expression of love, admiration, and a connection that transcends the digital space. It was clear that Conan’s impact was not just felt through his music, but through the emotional bond he has created with his fans.

The setlist was a perfect mix of Conan’s musical evolution, showcasing both his early hits like “Maniac” and “The Story” and newer anthems like “Heather,” the song that skyrocketed him from TikTok fame to the world’s biggest stages. Before performing “Alley Rose,” Conan cheekily asked the crowd not to “leave me hanging” the next time he’s in London—a playful nod to the song’s lyrics and his growing rapport with his audience.

As the night came to an end, the glitter and confetti that had rained down during the show were a poignant reminder of the magical experience shared. The concert may have ended, but the memories lingered. Now, fans are left eagerly awaiting Conan’s next world tour, knowing that the journey is far from over. For now, though, they can hold onto the bits of confetti stuck to their clothes as a souvenir from a night that will be hard to forget.
