WPGM Reviews: Joshua Bassett Live At O2 Forum Kentish Town (In Pictures)

Joshua Bassett brought ‘The Golden Years’ tour to London at the O2 Forum Kentish Town last night after a long-awaited arrival from fans. The tour, which was originally scheduled to go ahead last year, had been postponed to January. Although fans had to wait just that little bit longer, the show was definitely worth it.

Joshua began the show by bouncing right out of the darkness, seamlessly transitioning into the first song of the night, ‘The Golden Years’. As it is the name of the tour, it was the perfect track to set the scene. Fans had even planned a special project where they threw confetti up into the air during the song, and Joshua was visibly thankful.

Fan interaction and participation is clearly important to Joshua. In only the fourth song, he got a fan on stage to dance with him, he constantly arched over the stage to hold hands with people in the front row and, best of all, he walked through the entire floor of the venue, personally greeting fans as he sang. The joy on their faces was picture-perfect.

Despite having camped out all day long to see Joshua up close, the fans were as excited and happy as ever. His dedication to personally connecting with his fans is admirable, and something that makes his presence in the music industry really unique (alongside his fantastic vocals and stage presence, of course).

Overall, the energy of this show was electric, and made it a memorable show for both hardcore fans and average listeners. Anyone leaving the show is bound to have had a good time, and we can’t wait for his next visit to London.
