WPGM Reviews: The Vamps Live At Eventim Apollo

The Vamps brought their stunningly nostalgic ‘Meet The Vamps Anniversary Tour’ to London’s Eventim Apollo on the 22nd of September – the second date of theirs at this iconic venue. As the tour name suggests, this run of shows are very special to the band, as they are celebrating their first ever album.

Whether members of the crowd bought tickets as they are hardcore fans, or were tempted by the nostalgia of the music, it was jam-packed and highly energetic the whole evening. The band of course played the Meet The Vamps album in its entirety, and did other fan favourites from past albums, including Middle Of The Night and Chemicals.

From intense visuals, to wild drum solos and intimate interactions with fans in the crowd, this show really had it all. Brad Simpson, the front-man of the band, even encouraged the audience to form a conga line around the whole seated floor section of the venue, and the joy on everyone’s faces was picture-perfect.

The band always makes such a huge effort to interact with their fans, no matter the size of the show they’re playing, which always makes for amazing moments.

The Vamps proved that they have only gotten more mesmerising to watch across the span of the past 10 years, and the only way is up for the future of their careers. Each member shines in their own individual ways and their dedication to their craft is incredibly admirable, so we can’t wait to see what’s next for the group.
